Peter Owen Jones (1933-1993) was a prolific and highly accomplished artist. His Paintings form a solid memorial to the railway era. His ability to capture Sheffield in the 1950's was greatly loved.
His ability to translate his memories to canvas and watercolours are a testament to his complete understanding respect of both the subject matter and the medium in which he worked.
Peter was born in the Peak District village of Bradwell and would regularly travel to the city, on the Hope Valley Line via Totley Tunnel. Peter later attended Sheffield College of Art and studied Art and Illustration.
