Graham Carver lived his early life in Norfolk. He studied art and design at Hornsey College of Art in London before moving to Leeds College of Art to study painting. He subsequently made his home in Yorkshire and taught art and design in Leeds for a number of years before becoming a full time artist.
Best known for his watercolour topographical views, he paints urban subjects and also works in oils. His work displays a particular interest in the effects of light upon the buildings and landscape, sunlight and shadow often forming important elements in the composition.
